Your Sense of Deserving

In order to manifest our dreams, we need to align our self-image with the life we would love living.

If your sense of deserving isn’t clear, you will fall short. If you haven’t spent time sitting in silence asking yourself “what do I really want” for this life, you may be just following the lead of others.

How do you know if you deserve your dream? If you are breathing, you deserve to have your heart’s desire. By virtue of you being alive you are deserving of your dream.

Here are three keys to increasing your sense of deserving:

1. Focus on the BEST.

Circumstances are bad only if you perceive them as such. Instead of panicking when life appears to throw you a curve, wait and invite your Spirit Guides, Angels and the magnificent power of the Universe and all God created to reveal the best plan for your life. Accept that life may not appear “fair” or “just”. Ask yourself what the best emotional outcome would be for any circumstance. Not just physical things like cars, houses, and caviar, but emotional strengths such as resilience, perseverance, courage…

2. Forgive yourself and others for past situations or circumstances.

We have all experienced heartache in one form or another. You weren’t chosen for the team. You didn’t get invited to the prom. You lost the love of your life. Someone downsized you from a job you loved when you were a single mom (I can tell you about my one week in January 1989)! When you persist in carrying the baggage of your childhood, your teen years, your early adult years or any other period of your life, you may carry shame or a belief that you are unlovable. While it sounds trite, “Let go” after a period of hurt, anger and grief is the best advice, told by thousands of therapists and coaches over the past 100 years. It may not be easy to do so without a guide, so again, call me and let’s see if I can help you get rid of that old stained luggage.

3. Practice gratitude to increase your sense of deserving.

An “attitude of gratitude” enables you to construct your dream on a solid foundation of deserving. Begin by spending a day giving thanks for all you do have. Yet, to those you’ve criticized, verbally or mentally, forgive them “for they know not what they do”. I assume people do what they do because they just don’t know any better, haven’t been trained to behave differently or are on auto-pilot and have no self awareness. Forgive them. Forgive yourself for having expectations that others may never be able to meet.

When you practice these three principles, you will feel your sense of deserving expand and may begin to see unexpected good things flow into your life.

You are deserving of your dream!
